What We Offer

At LoomRoom, we combine traditional weaving and embroidery techniques with a modern approach to design. We create a space where people can learn traditional crafts, commission unique handmade products, and explore patterns developed by us and inspired by the textile heritage of Podlasie.

Our offer is addressed both to beginners and advanced makers as well as private clients, interior designers, architects, cultural institutions, and companies looking for exceptional handcrafted products.

Our offer includes:

Weaving and embroidery workshops — a wide range of techniques and formats,

Custom-made textile and embroidery products created to individual order,

Digitization and sharing of traditional weaving and embroidery patterns.

Weaving Workshops

LoomRoom weaving workshops are hands-on sessions where participants can learn traditional weaving techniques and create their own textile pieces. The workshops take place in our studio in Hajnówka, as well as in Warsaw and other cities across Poland.

We teach both simple techniques for beginners and more advanced methods used in traditional weaving.

Our workshops include, among others, the following weaving techniques:

Double-warp rug weaving

Perebory weaving (including the Nadbużańskie style)

Multi-shaft weaving

Frame loom weaving

The workshops can take the form of one-time sessions, intensive weekend or multi-day courses, or longer learning programs.
Each workshop format is individually tailored to the needs of the client.

Embroidery Workshops

LoomRoom embroidery workshops are hands-on sessions where participants can learn traditional embroidery techniques — with a special focus on traditional cross-stitch embroidery — and create their own handmade pieces. The workshops take place in our studio in Hajnówka, as well as in Warsaw and other cities across Poland.

The workshops are suitable both for beginners and more advanced participants.

During the workshops, we work with traditional motifs inspired by historic woven textiles and folk embroidery.

Workshop topics include, among others:

Basics of cross-stitch embroidery

Embroidered wall hangings

Running stitch embroidery

Embroidered brooches and pins

Cross-stitch embroidery on clothing

Bargello embroidery

The workshops can take the form of one-time sessions or longer recurring courses. Each workshop format is individually tailored to the needs of the client.

The LoomRoom Team

Patterns

One of the most important areas of LoomRoom’s work is the documentation and development of traditional weaving and embroidery patterns.

Based on field research, collaboration with museums, and our own collection of historic textiles, we prepare digital patterns that are clear, practical and ready to be used by weavers and embroiderers around the world.

We collaborate with museums and other institutions that collect traditional textiles and preserve cultural heritage in order to digitize and safeguard traditional folk patterns.

In the LoomRoom collection, you will find patterns inspired by traditional pick-up (wybierane) woven textiles as well as cross-stitch embroidery charts.
(Weaving patterns coming soon.)

The patterns are available in the LoomRoom online shop.
